In the shadows of silence, a cry takes flight,
Uyghur children longing for their lost light,
In reeducation camps, they languish in pain,
A future stolen, their dreams bound in chains.
Oh, let them return to the halls of their schools,
Not in the orphanages, stripped of their jewels,
Where history whispers and language is lost,
Their culture, a treasure, no matter the cost.
With parents imprisoned, their hearts torn apart,
The warmth of love fades, leaving a scar on the heart,
End this cruel separation, this sorrowful plight,
Bring back the embrace, restore their lost right.
Let them sing songs of Mugam, sweet and divine,
Dance the Sanam, let their spirits align,
In fields of tradition, where joy can be found,
Their laughter a melody, a beautiful sound.
For every small child, a story untold,
Of dreams filled with colors, of futures so bold,
Yet in the shadows, the darkness prevails,
With echoes of anguish, where freedom exhales.
Education, a beacon, a right they deserve,
To learn of their history, their culture preserve,
Not molded by force into someone they’re not,
But cherished and nurtured, a home they’ve sought.
Let the world hear their voices, their stories unfold,
Of resilience and strength, like the tales of old,
For every young Uyghur, a promise we make,
To stand by their side, to lift and awake.
With compassion ignited, let justice take flight,
In unity’s embrace, let us rise for their fight,
For every child dreaming of love and of peace,
May the chains of oppression and suffering cease.
Together we’ll strive for a future so bright,
Where Uyghur children bask in freedom’s pure light,
In schools filled with laughter, their language, their pride,
In homes filled with love, with their parents beside.
So let us remember, let our voices be strong,
For the rights of these children, let’s right every wrong,
In our hearts, we'll carry their struggles and pain,
Until every Uyghur child can dance once again.
